At Eurotrader, we offer two distinct trading modes: Hedging and Netting. Understanding the difference between these two modes can help you better manage your trading strategies.
🔁 Hedging Mode (Default Setting)
By default, all Eurotrader trading accounts are opened with Hedging mode enabled.
In Hedging mode, you can open multiple positions on the same instrument in different directions (buy and sell). This allows you to:
-
Maintain both long and short positions simultaneously
-
Use advanced strategies such as risk mitigation or locking profits/losses
This mode is preferred by traders who wish to have greater flexibility and control over individual positions.
➖ Netting Mode (Available Upon Request)
Netting mode follows a simpler approach: it consolidates all positions for the same instrument into one. If you open a buy trade and then a sell trade on the same symbol, the system will offset them, leaving only one net position.
This mode is typically used in institutional or traditional trading environments and is not suitable for hedging strategies.
