The Ask line helps traders monitor the current ask price directly on their charts. Here’s how to enable and customize it in MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5).

Enabling the Ask line

For MT4:

1. Right-click on the chart.
2. Select "Properties" or press F8.
3. Navigate to the "Common" tab.
4. Check "Show Ask line" and click OK.

For MT5:

1. Right-click on the chart.
2. Select "Properties".
3. Go to the "Common" tab.
4. Check "Show Ask line" and click OK.

Ask line appearance

Once enabled, the Ask line appears as a real-time moving indicator for the current ask price. By default, it's green in both MT4 and MT5.

Customizing the Ask line

1. Right-click on the chart and select "Properties".
2. Navigate to the "Colors" tab.
3. Change the Ask line color to your preference.
4. Click OK to apply the changes.
