When setting up your Eurotrader account, you have the flexibility to choose from three major global currencies as your account's base currency. This important selection determines how your account balance, profits, losses, and fees will be calculated and displayed.

Currency Options

Choose from these major currencies for your trading account:

  • United States Dollars (USD) - The world's primary reserve currency
  • Euro (EUR) - The official currency of the Eurozone
  • Great Britain Pounds (GBP) - One of the world's oldest currencies still in use

How to select your account currency

During the account creation process:

  1. Navigate to the currency selection step
  2. Review the available options (USD, EUR, GBP)
  3. Select your preferred base currency
  4. Confirm your selection before proceeding

Important considerations

When choosing your account currency, consider:

  • Your primary funding source currency to minimize conversion fees
  • The currency of your regular expenses if you plan to withdraw profits
  • The main currency of instruments you plan to trade
  • Your country's reporting currency for tax purposes
  • Current and expected exchange rate trends

Currency selection is permanent

Once you choose your account currency, it cannot be changed. To trade with a different currency, you can open a new account.

Pick the currency that aligns with your financial goals for better account management.

If your trading account currency differs from your wallet's, automatic currency conversion will occur for internal transfers.
